Let’s talk about this game and review it to know if this game is really worth your money.Story:Masaya Okonogi is a young man who has financial troubles because of his father’s actions, forcing him to take different jobs. However, his father left him behind, and also gave Masaya his debt to the loan sharks, forcing Masaya to run away from their house. In the streets, however, he saved a girl named Rise Rousenin twice that night. Because of that fateful night, Masaya was enrolled at the school Rise is attending; Vincennes Academy, an all-girls school. He was chosen by Rise as a male sample to help her promote gender integration. Gameplay:Princess Evangile is a visual novel game, so it consists of clicking with the mouse to scroll the text. You will play as Masaya Okonogi, the main character of this game and your main objective is to promote gender integration. Although the way you can do this is by selecting certain choices. In some part of the game, some choices will pop-up and will let you decide which path you’d like to take. This game, however, has bland and few choices that the player can choose to affect the game. Bland because the choices are very simple that it literally says which choice determines the route’s heroine. After choosing the path you wanted, well, there are no other options. Enjoy reading through the chapters! Hey, at least the story’s interesting. Graphic:The game has a nice HUD interface, with a theme that suites the Filles De La Vincennes ("Maidens of Vincennes") elegance and innocence. The shortcuts are nicely arranged above the textbox, and the settings menu has a nice design to it, making it look like a monarch’s settings for his throne’s adjustable backrest. The art style for the characters is like the style from anime and their facial expressions are well drawn and very excellent. Character models were not only fixated into one pose, but they also made two for most of the cast. The background used in the game is very excellent. The artwork is really great, as if you’re looking into a painting in an art gallery. The backgrounds are also drawn in day and night form, as well as certain events such as school festival and Christmas. The CGs used in this game are very amazing! There are well drawn CGs that shows the tear jerking scene, wacky and funny scenes, and many more. The way the art is drawn is really awesome, as it shows what is going on in that event and how cute/beautiful the characters are. Music:The music of the game fits the theme and atmosphere of the game. The character’s theme song greatly describes their personalities and characteristics, like Ayaka’s jolly and carefree attitude and Ritsuko’s refined and stoic personality. The music greatly expresses the atmosphere of the situation occurring, like a dumbfounded moment, confessing their true feelings, etc. Most of the music has elegance in it, which completely suits the setting of the story. Classical music composed by Mozart, Bach and Strauss were remixed for this game, and I actually find it relaxing. But the most exciting music in this game is “Insanity”. This will play most of the time whenever Konomi appears. You’ll find it entertaining.Presentation:The game has four routes, with one of the four main heroines becoming the love interest of Masaya. The player can choose what route to take depending on which choices have been selected. The heroines are Rise Rousenin, the girl with a strong will who wanted the school to reform; Ritsuko Kitamikado, the refined girl who always stick to rules and opposes the gender integration; Ayaka Kitamikado, who is known as the “other Kitamikado” due to her making pranks on others and is always laid back; and Chiho Sagisawa, the sporty childhood friend that is also a tsundere. The characters introduced are like living in a separate dimension: a school disconnected from the common world and is very innocent of what’s the norm to the public. They are so distant that majority of the students has no contact with the male gender except with their fathers. This setting sets the characters’ mind set and personality for the rest of the game to give the player the following thoughts: “How will I be able to turn this academy into an all-gender school?” Well, maybe that curiosity will be enough for the player to keep on playing.Overall:Princess Evangile is a great visual novel, with comedic scenes, dramatic and tear jerking scenes, and romantic stories. Sure, the player’s choices are very minimal compared to other visual novel, but it focused itself in the story. It’s like playing a kinetic novel but you have an option to choose which heroine you’d like to end up with. Also, there are only four heroines available, which is kind of disappointing since there are some interesting female characters such as Ruriko and Konomi. Despite that, Princess Evangile delivers a great moe story and interesting characters. I can recommend this game to gamers who wanted to relax and play something refreshing with a good story.. I've played this on another computer, so don't mind my hours.*First, this is hands down my favorite visual novel of all time. I found it entertaining very well put together. Though, it does get repetitive in each route from time to time, but it also adds unique elements within them too.Basically, this visual novel is about a teenage boy (Masaya, the MC) who pretty much grew up on the streets with his deadbeat father. They accumulated a large debt over time from the local yakuza/mafia and have been on the run for years. The father one day disappears and pushes the debt onto Masaya, who has been working months and months just for some extra cash. So, now Masaya has to find a way to clear his debt... while doing so conviently running into a rich teenage girl and conviently winning the lottery, thus clearing it up. After he clears his debt, the girl invites him to be the first and only male at an all girls highschool as a sample for future integration. Here on, lives his whole year within this highschool, falling in love and getting into trouble. So, if you like cute, slice of life, school, romance kind of stuff, then I suggest checking this out. Whether it be the Steam version or the patched 18+ version, it is still a very good visual novel.. Last week my girlfriend broke up with me.Joke's on her, now I can have all the girlfriends I want with this game.. One playthrough of this game should take around maybe 8+ hours. That is for ONE path for a girl. I played 2 so far and my god this game. I was speechless the whole time playing. The choices come maybe once or twice a chapter but each one plays something new and its amazing. 40$? i woulda payed 90$ for a game of this quality. The artwork, voice acting, scipt, everything. It was amazing and i can't wait to try out the other routes. i do recomend it, this will keep you hooked on it!!game completed as of 05/04/15 time completed 76 hoursthis was no game i ever played got me so interested in finishing it and there were alot of twist and turns and it was overall fun and so many suprises i did not see coming!pros:- amazing SD Art! (SO Kawaii!!)- excellent storyline - a huge variety of background music - the jokes in it can so hilarious at times- so many sence are epic!- the feels.....(i really didnt think i would cry...)cons:- the jokes can go a bit far(still acceptable)- the price can be off puttingconclusion:excellent second visual novel for me but for the price it worth it, there are many plus for it and very few cons that would not make me not recommend it, as the characters are brilliant and hard not to love them all, soundtrack is unbelieveable and suited the mood incrediablely well, the artwork is stunning, the story was breathtaking. as for the bad there not alot ,other than pricetag the other bad thing i can really say but it just me ,although it all age version there are time it was slightly disturbing of what it was implying but that only comprise of 1% of the time i spent playing this so it not so worrying.. I HAVE PLAYED A FEW VISUAL NOVELS NOW AND I RATE THIS AS ONE OF THE BEST I HAVE COMPLETED ALL THE ROUTES AND MY FAVOURITE IS RITSUKOS IT HAD THE MOST IMPACT FOR ME AND HER RELATIONSHIP WITH THE MAIN CHARACTER IS REALLY CUTE I HIGHLY RECOMEND ANYONE TO BUY THIS GAME
